It all started with …

Owning a restaurant has been a dream of mine ever since my very first job working at McDonald’s at 16yrs old. In September of 2017, I decided to move to the beautiful Virgin Islands. I found a cool little 200 sq ft shack close to the beach, small yet perfect to sell my food to tourist and locals. Then the Hurricane Irma happened.

The island was devastated and so was my little food shack. A week went past, and as we begin recovery efforts, we got news that a 2nd more vicious storm was on its way. Family and friends convinced me to come back to the states, but the airport was trashed. The closest airport was in Puerto Rico. Along with 30 other individuals seeking refuge, I took a boat to PR.

Once I arrived in PR, the island was on high alert, news of Hurricane Maria was striking fear in the hearts of the locals. My next mission was to get off this island before Maria hits. My good friend’s tireless efforts paid off, I got one of the last flights out before the airport shut down. I wanted to kiss the ground when I landed in St. Louis.
With my dream still on my mind, I began my search for a restaurant space and found it my 3rd day in the city. It’s been a crazy ride. But we made it through the storm (literally). God had different plans than we did, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We hope to see you soon. Our food is made with a lot of passion, love, and spice.
